Booka Shade

Booka Shade are amazing! I feel totally cheesy saying this but they put so much positive emotion into their music. Haha i guess it just brings out that side of me… The music isn’t cheesy or built up at all though! Think Orbital more than Oakenfold. Their new album The Sun and The Neon Light comes out today.  I love how Booka Shade tracks go off in the club but you can play them in your car and just listen too.

Teenagers in Tokyo Remix!

Check out this new remix of Sydney girl band Teenagers in Tokyo! I love Teenagers in Tokyo… I still listen to ‘Very Vampyr’ all the time, but I am going to have to switch it up to the remix for a while! dCup turns the sort of goth original into a sweet Bang Gang stlye Australian house track!

Zeitgeist

A lot of people compare Zeitgeist with The Knife. They are both from Sweden, both do a crazy costumed live show, and make sort of similar sounding hard hitting synth pop. Getting compared to The Knife definitely means Zeitgeist is doing something right! Anyways, they don’t sound exactly the same. Really they’re just both Swedish and good! Check out the video for Zeitgeist’s track ‘The Lake’… I love this video because that is exactly the way I dance!

Shy Child

I am so psyched to have Shy Child to listen to over and over again! They make awesome polished and catchy indie rock rave pop. Like NYC’s answer to The Tough Alliance! Their album ‘Noise Won’t Stop’ is out now on Kill Rock Stars and you can download it on iTunes. I definitely recommend it!
